Ron Graham, assistive technology trainer and UHCL alumnus with his seeing-eye dog Boise presented the Student Services Symposium “What Do Your Documents Communicate: Do they say what you see” April 8, which covered how to design documents to be more accessible and how to use the JAWS screen reader.

“People wouldn’t dream of erecting a building today without handicap friendly entrances or bathrooms, so why build word documents that are not accessible to everyone as well?” Graham said.
