RECAP: SGA meeting reveals new VP leadership
The Student Government Association (SGA) meeting was hosted by Hiba Loya, the 2020-2021 President of SGA, on August 4 at 11:30 a.m. This was the last SGA meeting of the summer.
- Loya began the meeting by announcing the fund request balance of $12,939.72 but said there was no fund request balance for today.
- Rony Prajapati was announced as SGA’s new Vice President of Administration. Prajapati received 43% of the votes.
- A total of 97 people voted in the election.
- Loya reminded everyone in attendance of the next town hall discussing racial injustice on August 5, 2020.
- Misty Woods discussed the creation of a new committee dedicated to evaluating and revising the SGA constitution.
- The Signal Managing Editor of Content and Operations Troylon Griffin II spoke to inform those in attendance about The Signal and to encourage people to join and contribute.
- Brian Mills announced the Recreation and Wellness Center will possibly be reopening on Monday, August 17.
