COMMUNITY UPDATE: Wayfinding Project Update

Dear Students, Faculty, and Staff,

The University of Houston-Clear Lake Wayfinding Project is a university-wide initiative focused on unifying the campus environment. It will provide a consistent information strategy to orient all UHCL community members, patrons, and visitors. The project will include enhanced directional, identification, informational, and wayfinding signage.

Beginning in early December, the existing monument signs, located along Bay Area Boulevard and Middlebrook Drive, will be taken down and replaced by updated primary entry monument signs. This construction is expected to take 1-2 months and is projected to be completed by Mid-January, but this is only the initial construction phase. The complete project could extend well into the summer. Our office will send additional communications about temporary road closures and detours if necessary. In addition, new wayfinding signs will begin going up around the University in early spring.

Sincerely,

Facilities Management and Construction
