Chili Cook-Off is BACK Hawks! Save the date! After a two-yearlong hiatus, Chili Cook-Off is back for the 31st annual event!

What is Chili Cook-Off?

Chili Cook-Off is a valued traditional event where teams compete in categories such as “Best Chili” and “Best Spirit”. The event will feature a mechanical bull, live music, BINGO, axe throwing, and plenty more. You can participate in voting for your favorite chili or just come hang out!

You won’t want to miss a special celebration in honor of UHCL’s new university hand sign, “The Claw”!

Who can attend?

Anyone can attend! This includes UHCL students, staff, faculty, alumni, families, and members of the community.

Will Hunter the Hawk be there?

Not only is Hunter the Hawk on the VIP guest list, Chili Cook-Off doubles as Hunter’s birthday party. Have cake with us and celebrate Hunter’s 9th birthday!

Is there an entrance fee?

Attendance is free! If you’d like to partake in our popular voting contests, tasting kits will be $5 (cash only).

Where do I park?

Parking Lot D will be your best option to park, and it’s free all weekend. You’ll want to the event through Campus Recreation & Wellness Center to check-in.
