POLICE UPDATE: Robbery at UFA – Case Closed

UHCL POLICE DEPARTMENT COMMUNITY BULLETIN UPDATE

CASE CLEARED

The UHCL Police has concluded its investigation into the University Forest Apartments robbery reported on Friday, November 23, 2012 at 4:30AM. The investigation revealed that the alleged robbery was in fact actually a dispute between two former acquaintances.

The robbery did not occur as previously reported.

UHCL POLICE DEPARTMENT COMMUNITY BULLETIN:
On Friday, November 23, 2012, at approximately 4:30AM, a robbery occurred at the University Forest Apartments in the parking lot near Building 6.

The victim reported that he was taking an early morning walk when a man came from behind and grabbed him by his hoodie. The victim stated the perpetrator pulled the hoodie back tightly so that the zipper on the front collar bit into his neck. While the perpetrator pulled back on the hoodie, he attempted to reach into the victim’s pocket. During the attempt, the perpetrator was cursing at the victim.

When the victim turned and pushed the perpetrator away, the perpetrator left the scene and ran towards the complex’s Bay Area gate.

The perpetrator is described as:

Male, 5’5, dark skinned, possibly of Middle Eastern descent, thin build with short, dark hair, wearing blue jeans and a dark t-shirt. The individual may have carried a knife by his side, but it was not overtly displayed or used to threaten the victim.
