Bring your own lunch and chat with Dr. Sandra Thompson
Date: September 17
Time: 12 p.m. to 1 p.m.
Location: SSCB Lecture Hall
UHCL’s Common Reader Program welcomes Dr. Sandra Guerra Thompson to campus as the first of their September series of speakers. Thompson has been very important to criminal justice in Houston and is well known for her work of pointing out the faulty work of the previous Houston Crime Lab. She is now a member of the Board of Directors and worked to change the crime lab from a police-controlled lab to a science oriented lab. She will discuss Houston’s forensics offices, her work and what her work in the community has meant to her own life.
