EXPLAINER: Ocean of opinions over the Trans-Pacific Partnership

Encompassing 40 percent of the world’s economy, the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP) has connected 12 countries in an ocean of controversy.

After five years of negotiations, the TPP countries reached an agreement that is now in a 90-day review period. A vote by Congress is expected in early 2016.
