Cyber Security Institute course: ‘Introduction to network technology’

WHEN:  April 29 through May 21, Fridays 1–6 p.m. and Saturdays 8 a.m.–1 p.m.

WHERE:  Delta Building, Room 158A

WHAT:  Gain basic skills working with computer networks in the course “Introduction to Network Technology” presented by UHCL’s Cyber Security Institute. Participants will gain key knowledge and hands-on experience with networking fundamentals, security, routing and switching, network configuration, wireless concepts and WAN technologies.

Instructors also will provide information and resources toward earning Cisco Certified Network Technician and CompTIA Network+ certification.

The cost is $1,250 by April 22, plus a $50 lab fee; the course increases to $1,350 afterward.

The course is part two of a four-part program and the courses may be taken as a package for $5,050, which includes a $500 discount. UHCL alumni, employees and students also receive an additional discount.
