As part of the events being hosted by the Common Reader Program, poet Lupe Mendez will be speaking at UHCL on Sept. 27. This event will begin at 3 p.m. in the SSCB Lecture Hall.
During this event, students, staff and faculty can listen to Mendez talk about “words on education, culture, and empowerment,” while also joining the conversation. This event aims to provide an opportunity to strengthen the academic community and encourage in-depth learning.
