The University of Houston-Clear Lake (UHCL) campus sits atop 524 acres of land set aside as a nature preserve. Adjacent to the Armand Bayou Nature Center, UHCL is home to dozens of indigenous species of plants and animals, many of which can be easily spotted from various accessible locations on campus. The following is a sampling of some of the wild animals that can often be spotted wandering about between the buildings.
