At the start of every spring semester student journalists and advocates like the Student Press Law Center (SPLC) celebrate Student Press Freedom Day. This year that date is Feb. 26. The 2021 theme is “Journalism Against the Odds” and this years’ highlighted topics include:
- Journalism in the Time of COVID
- Reckoning with Racial Justice
- Elevating Civic Engagement
- Targeting and Censorship of Student Journalist
