Students from Lee High School shared their experiences from participating in the Teen And Police Service Academy (TAPS) at the 22nd Annual Student Conference for Research and Creative Arts (SCRCA)
One of the programs being showcased at the 22nd Annual Student Conference for Research and Creative Arts Wednesday, April 20, is the Teen and Police Service Academy.
TAPS academy, Teen And Police Service, has succeeded in improving relationships between at-risk youth and local law enforcement in the areas where they've implemented the program.
In 2012, the University of Houston-Clear Lake Criminology Department partnered with the Houston Police Department to create the Teen and Police Service (TAPS) Academy.
