Volunteer for UHCL Veterans Day Celebration
The UHCL Veterans Day Celebration is just two weeks from today.
Volunteering to assist with this event is a wonderful way to say, “THANK YOU!” to our veterans and their families for the many sacrifices that they’ve made on behalf of our nation.
This year UHCL will also be participating in the National Remembrance Day Roll Call by reading the names of those who have been lost in combat in Iraq and Afghanistan. Their lives and military service are being celebrated just as they are for those who returned home.
Please consider volunteering to assist with the setup, decorating, serving lunch or other duties for the event and/or reading names for the roll call. Setup and decorating will start at 7:30 a.m. on Monday, November 11 and the serving of lunch will start at approximately noon. The reading of names for the roll call will start at 7:30 a.m. and are broken down in 30-minute segments.
