The Writing Center calls for poets
The Writing Center is hosting a free poetry reading event Thursday, Sept. 15 from 7 to 10 p.m. for all students in the Student Services and Classroom Building (2.101).
The event was created by the Writing Center as a “celebration of the written and spoken word” and they are inviting all students to help.
The event will feature local poets Conor Bracken, Beth Lyons, Analicia Sotelo and Randall J. Tyrone. Light refreshments will be served following the poets’ reading.
An open mic will start toward the end of the event to allow anyone else to share creative works with the rest of the attendees.
