Intervarsity Christian Fellowship to host volunteer events for UHCL community

On Nov. 11 the Intervarsity Christian Fellowship (ICF) is taking part in an event at Grace Church called “Operation Christmas Child Packing Party” from 6 to 8 p.m. At this event there will be games, fellowship and a light dinner followed by the packing of shoe boxes. Attendees are encouraged to bring their families and a shoebox along with items to pack into the box. There will then be a session of prayer at the end of the event.

This is a part of the Samaritans Purse foundation that provides relief to crisis areas across the globe. Each year around the holidays, Samaritans Purse organizes an event called Operation Christmas Child where people are encouraged to pack a shoebox filled with a variety of toys, school supplies and clothes. These shoeboxes are then sent around the world to children in need.
