Houston MG Walk 2018 to take place Nov. 17

The 2018 Houston MG Walk will be taking place Saturday, Nov. 17. The event is sponsored by the Myasthenia Gravis Foundation of America.

The MGFA is the only national volunteer health agency dedicated solely to the fight against myasthenia gravis and to serving patients with MG.

The event will have those affected by myasthenia gravis to celebrate the lives of MG patients, physicians and caregivers and walk to raise awareness and funds to support the Myasthenia Gravis Foundation of America at the Bear Creek Pioneers Park in Houston. Meena Outlaw will be honored as the Houston MG Walk Local Hero.

The National MG Walk Campaign is celebrating their 8th year of raising funds and awareness for the MG Community, having raised over $5.5 million dollars since their first walk in 2011. Funds raised from the MG Walk help support research initiatives, advocacy efforts, programs and services and resources for those living with MG and their families.

The walk will be on November 17. Check-in starts at 9 a.m. and the walk begins at 10 a.m. For further information, visit the MG Walk website.
