Lunar New Year, also known as Chinese New Year, is the most important holiday in most of the East and South East Asian countries such as China, Korea and Vietnam. As the Asian community in the United States has been growing since the late 20th century, Lunar New Year traditions have been introduced in the country ever since. Feb. 5, 2019 marks the beginning of the Lunar New Year of the Earth Pig.
