Quentin Tarantino has written and directed another sensational story with “Once Upon a Time in Hollywood.” The film is everything one would expect from Tarantino and at the same time nothing one would assume the film to be.

The film takes place in California 1969 and Rick Dalton (Leonardo DiCaprio) has submerged himself in booze and second rate Spaghetti Westerns in a different country to try and stay relevant. Hitting close to rock bottom Rick and his stunt double Cliff Booth (Brad Pitt) are doing everything they can to stay in the game.

A scene can have one laughing left and right, while on the following scene stirs the realization of why Academy Award-winning actor DiCaprio is one of the best actors to ever grace the big screen. It is no secret Quentin Tarantino follows his own set of rules and his movies always leave one satisfied. Of course, this film is no different.

This being Tarantino’s ninth film, one would assume to see something they’ve already seen before. Absolutely not, as this film embodies what transitional eras are all about. The crew in charge of wardrobe and location is truly superb, and one feels like they are living in the 1960s.

It is a little disappointing the small amount of screen time Margot Robbie’s Sharon Tate was given. It is easy to see Robbie’s talent and recognize that she gives herself to her character, especially given her previous roles such as Harley Quinn in “Suicide Squad” and Naomi Lapaglia in “The Wolf of Wall Street.”

The movie has a runtime of 165 minutes and follows a very detailed storyline from several points of view. Much like with “Django Unchained,” “Inglorious Bastards” and the award-winning “Pulp Fiction.”

The variety of movies Tarantino has created and directed is overall inspiring. “Once Upon a Time in Hollywood” is entertaining and enjoying for any moviegoer, so get ready for a Mason family film and a wacky roller coaster of talent and creativity.

The ending will leave one in 100% awe, but when dealing with this cast and crew what else is to be expected? It is rare to see Pitt in a supporting role, but nevertheless, he exemplifies why he is a beloved actor. While watching the film, it is easy to think about how everyone needs a friend like Cliff.

Many people find themselves out of place or in search of a bigger purpose during the journey of life. Films like these remind us that there is light at the end of the road. Most importantly, no matter if one’s a hero, a villain or even a stunt double, you too can make a difference.

It wouldn’t be a Tarantino film without a wild ending. Of course, I won’t spoil it for everyone, you’ll just have to see for yourself. “Once upon a Time in Hollywood” is out in theaters now and will surely be a film to be remembered.
