UHCL Police joins ‘If you see something, say something’ campaign

The UHCL Police Department has partnered with the U.S. Department of Homeland Security for the “If You See Something, Say Something” campaign. The campaign is meant to encourage federal, state and local law enforcement to work with the community to combat and prevent acts of terrorism and other crimes.

To report a crime or suspicious activity on campus, contact the UHCL Police Department at 281-283-2222. The department is open 24 hours. If one has any concern about a student’s behavior and feels they may benefit from help, call the UHCL Care Line at 281-283-CARE (2273). This number is also answered 24 hours a day.

As for outside the campus, the campaign encourages citizens and those in the community to report any suspicious activity by calling 855-iWATCH4 or go to www.iWATCHHouston.org. In case of emergency call 9-1-1. 

Additionally, the UHCL Police Department will be hosting National Night Out Oct. 1 in the Alumni Plaza from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. The event allows student, staff and faculty to meet the campus’ police officers and enjoy free food, refreshments, giveaways and music.
