BRIEF: Black Student Association having apparel fundraiser for clothing merchandise

UHCL’s Black Student Association is having an apparel fundraiser for their clothing merchandise. Students, staff and faculty are encouraged to buy merchandise and make a donation to “stand behind the work of BSA.” All funds will be paid directly to UHCL Black Student Association for various supplies. Merchandise available for purchase are hoodies, short and long-sleeved shirts saying UHCL Black Student Association. The campaign closes on Oct. 18 at midnight and items are expected to arrive 12 days later. Students also have the option to pick up from BSA themselves.

“BSA imagines a UHCL and furthermore, a world, where the Black population is not an afterthought, but a key factor in student life and these individuals leave this institution with the skill sets they need to be successful,” the campaign says. “In order to make this a reality, we need resources that can supply our ambitions and plenty of support.”
