Casual outfits typically consist of denim. Since my focus was on pairing clothing pieces with the black dress, I wanted to utilize pieces I thought represented a casual look. For this particular outfit, I paired a denim jacket with a black dress, along with white vans. This is one of my go-to outfits and is super easy to put together.

Typically, grunge style correlates with alternative rock music and consists of baggy and ripped clothing. Since my focus was on pairing clothing pieces with the black dress, baggy and ripped clothing was not an option. However, I decided to pair a flannel shirt with the dress to give the outfit a grunge feel.  I also paired my white converse with this outfit to accommodate the grunge look, as well.

This outfit was one of my top favorites to put together. I paired an olive-colored blazer with the black dress, along with short high heels. To top off this outfit, I paired a Kendra Scott tassel necklace with it. For necklace options, one does not have to spend a lot of money on a necklace. I would suggest wearing a gold necklace with a stone, so one’s outfit can pop.

This outfit is perfect for anyone who works behind a desk. The dress is comfy and cute when paired with a maroon-colored cardigan and black booties. If one does not prefer booties, I would suggest black flats. I also paired a Kendra Scott necklace with this outfit.

I also paired a Kendra Scott necklace and matching earrings with this outfit, as well. I added a hair clip piece, to get the formal look.

I lucked out and got to go shop for a dress because our clothes are still in boxes in the back of the storage unit. I have yet to convince my husband it’s a lovely idea to go play hide & seek with boxes in our unit.
