BRIEF: Division of Student Affairs creates new Office of Student Advocacy

The Office of Student Advocacy (OSA) is a new department created by staff in the Student Assistance Center (SAC) to help students navigate university resources and services. The office will provide assistance to students experiencing personal problems affecting their personal and academic lives.

The services that will be offered exist on campus currently. However, the office of Student Advocacy will combine these resources and make them available in one place. Some of these services include the Hawk Pantry and emergency assistance program.

Currently, OSA does not have an opening date, office location or contact information. However, more information will be provided once things are finalized. SAC will continue to serve students and provide their usual services in the same location.
