CONTRIBUTION: Know Your Worth
For all the times you’ve tried and failed
in everything you do,
for all the hurtful, careless words
that got away from you,
for every cut or pinch or burn
performed so you can feel
a tiny bit of something else,
to know that this is real;
for all the broken promises
that weigh your heavy heart
convincing you that lies are that which
define all who you are;
just know there’s possibility
contained inside of you,
the quality for which you’re here-
without, this world won’t do.
So dry your tears and stand up straight
-refuse all imposed labels-
This world will need you as you are
please know- you’re more than able!
