UHCL ranked safest in Texas once again

This update is from an email sent out by the UHCL Police Department.

Congratulations, the University of Houston-Clear Lake ranks in the top 20 (#17) of the safest higher education public school campuses in America as ranked by State University.com. We moved up four places from our #21 ranking last year. In addition, we moved up two spots to the second safest overall public higher education campus in Texas.

After removing community colleges, junior colleges and technical schools, UHCL is the sixth safest bachelor’s degree granting public university in America, and the safest bachelor’s degree granting institution in Texas!

The UHCL Police Department congratulates the UHCL faculty, staff and students for working together to help meet our mission . . . to provide a secure atmosphere conducive to the education, employment and daily community lifestyles of the University of Houston-Clear Lake.
