POETRY: ‘Loving You”

I am so in love with you.

When you arise, my sky turns blue.

When you walk by, songbirds call your name.

 

I treasure the time we share each day;

Be it at work or be at play.

We truly live in a modern Land of Oz!

 

Thoughtful walks along the Bay,

Candlelight at end of day,

Glasses of wine cast a magic spell.

 

We’ll sit close; I’ll hold your hand.

We’ll listen to the music and

Laugh and sing the night away!

 

We would never fuss; never fight.

I will do it well; you will make it right.

Wonderment will fill our every day,

 

And that is why I am so in love with you.

 

 

In Dreams!

I could boldly show my love;

Bring thunder down from clouds above

With lightning bolts that touch

Both Heart and Mind.

 

We could dance all through the night;

Spin and fly at speed of light,

Touch the Moon; play hide-n-seek in Saturn’s rings.

 

Twist and shout among the stars,

Fly a slow loop back by Mars;

Stop on Pluto, it’s cold there, we’ll have ice cream!

 

We’ll navigate the celestial track;

You’ll fly the ship; I’ve got your back;

We will celebrate our fantasies.

 

And I am loving you in all these dreams!

 

We should try to do it all!

Winter, Springtime, Summer, Fall.

Right meets Left; let the hemispheres collide!

 

Sweet simple walks, wild crazy rides;

We will be there side by side

On Life’s Path, living out our dreams.

 

And when this trail moves toward its end,

I will be your rock, your Sweetest Friend,

And you will bring me joy in every way.

 

This is why my skies are blue.

 

Why the songbirds sing so true.

 

It is what my loving you
