UHCL invites students to participate in new social media initiative

Students at University of Houston-Clear Lake have a chance to win big for showing their school spirit through a new social media initiative.

Beginning Sept. 14, students can win free UHCL giveaways by participating in a social media contest designed to engage the UHCL community and promote school spirit as part of Blue and Green Wednesday. Here’s how the contest works:

  • Every Wednesday, students are encouraged to show their UHCL pride no matter where they are by wearing the university’s colors, blue and green.
  • Then, snap a photo of yourself in blue and green, and post it on social media using the hashtag #BlueandGreenWednesday. Don’t be afraid to get creative with your posts!

One winner will be announced every Wednesday by having their photo shared on UHCL’s social media accounts, and will win a free UHCL T-shirt. Be sure to follow UHCL on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram to find out who wins.

Students may only win a t-shirt once. However, all students who participate throughout the semester will be entered to win the grand prize of a UHCL prize pack with several giveaways. That winner will be announced at the end of the semester, so students are encouraged to continue sharing their photos every week.
