Road closures planned for El Dorado Boulevard and Space Center Boulevard

Expect delays on El Dorado Boulevard and Space Center Boulevard Saturday, Feb. 25 and Sunday, Feb. 26.

The city of Houston Public Works and Engineering Department will replace deteriorated pavement panels at El Dorado Boulevard and Space Center Boulevard on Saturday, Feb. 25 and Sunday, Feb. 26.

During the weekend construction, the outside eastbound lane on Space Center Boulevard will be closed as well as the inside lanes in each direction (northbound and southbound) on El Dorado Boulevard approaching Space Center Boulevard.

The work is set to be done between 4 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 25. The lanes will be closed at 4 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 25 and will reopen at 3 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 26 to allow the concrete to reach its required strength.

At least one lane will remain open in each direction at all times, however delays are expected.

The Houston Police Department Clear Lake Substation has been notified and officers will help with directing traffic.
