Kids can discover nature, help environment

First- through eighth-grade students can spend summer days and evenings on nature walks, playing games, fishing, birding and more while learning more about the Bay Area ecosystem through June at University of Houston-Clear Lake’s North Office Annex, 2700 Bay Area Blvd., Houston.

The Environmental Institute of Houston offers day, half-day and evening sessions.

·     Discovering Nature Camp for first- and second-graders; June 5-8, 8:30 a.m. – 1 p.m.; $150 per child.

·     Citizen Science Camp for third- through fifth-graders; June 12-15, 8:30 a.m. – 3 p.m.; $225 per child.

·     Hunger Games Camp for sixth- through eighth-graders; June 19-23, 8:30 a.m. – 3 p.m. Monday-Thursday, 8:30 a.m. – 1 p.m. Friday; $250 per child.

·     Twilight Camp for ages 7-13; June 26, 28, 29, 6-8 p.m.; $20 per child per day.
