Pokémon is a world-famous multimedia franchise that began in 1995 with the release of the video games “Pokémon Red” and “Pokémon Green” on the Nintendo Game Boy. Since then, the franchise has seen the release of over 60 video games, 23 films, a trading card game, an anime television show, a manga series and even a theme park. “Pokémon Sword” and “Pokémon Shield” released on Nov. 15, and are the two newest games in the series.
