RECAP: SGA encourages involvement and community engagement
The SGA meeting was hosted by Hiba Loya, the 2019-2020 Vice President of Administration for SGA, on June 9 at 11:30 a.m.
- She first encouraged students to apply for the SGA positions that are still open which are Vice President of Outreach and Communication and Vice President of Administration.
- After Loya’s announcement, Debbie Carpenter of Auxiliary Services announced that they are looking for student representatives to join the bookstore advisory committee.
- The meeting ended with an open forum where Sabrina Spadafino, assistant director of Student Involvement and Leadership, and Dillon Nash, coordinator for student organizations and activities, updated the students on some events going on in the Office of Student Involvement and Leadership.
- Lastly, Mary LeBlanc, coordinator for community engagement, ended it with a reminder for students to register to vote and provided more information as to how it is being done during this time.
