COMMUNITY UPDATE: Interim AVP for Marketing and Communications announced

Dear Faculty, Staff and Students:

I am delighted to introduce the latest addition to our leadership team, Mr. Daniel Ramirez. He will serve as the interim assistant vice president for marketing and communications, beginning May 3, 2021. In his new role, Mr. Ramirez will lead marketing and communications efforts to advance UH-Clear Lake’s strategic goals through collaboration with university and community partners.

Mr. Ramirez brings more than 18 years of experience to the university. His most recent position was at South Texas College in McAllen, Texas, where he served as the director of public relations and marketing. During this time, he led a team of 25 members, overseeing brand and marketing strategies for six campuses. He was also a digital marketing instructor at The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley.

He holds a Master of Science in Media Management with a Digital and Social Media Concentration from Arkansas State University. He also holds a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from The University of Texas-Pan American, now part of The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley.
