Executive Council vacancies filled, SG President steps down

The first summer Student Government meeting led by the newly elected executive council was held June 14. The meeting introduced Isabella Cordona as Vice President Committee Coordinator who was elected after a vacancy election held from May 24 to May 31.

Cordona was elected as vice president May 31. Cordona ran unopposed in the election. The election concluded with 17 votes cast. 

Student Government President Nicholas Parrott stepped down from his position June 6.

“I have loved ones who are not in good health,” Parrott said.

SG officially announced a vacancy election at their first summer meeting June 14. 

Applications for vacant executive council positions and senate positions are still open through Get Involved. The applications are listed to be open until August 2.

The next SG General assembly meeting will be July 5 at 11:30 a.m. in the SSCB lecture hall.
