What is National Poetry Month?
National Poetry Month is an annual event celebrating poetry. Created by the Academy of American Poets, the event is designed “to encourage poetry readership year-round.”
Help us prove that “April is [not] the cruelest month (Read T.S. Eliot “The Waste Land.”) but rather that “April… hath put a spirit of youth in every thing (Read William Shakespeare’s Sonnet XCVIII).
