Subject:  Suggestion Box responses are available online

The Planning & Budgeting Committee of  Shared Governance has collected a set of responses from administrators regarding suggestion box ideas and these are located on the “Budget Discussions/Suggestions” Web page.  There have been several presentations so far this year, most recently from Chief Willingham and more are due during the next two meetings.  You can access the website here.  Or if you experience problems with the link you can paste the following address into your browser- http://prtl.uhcl.edu/portal/page/portal/AFN/BudgetDiscussion.

The committee is still soliciting your input to identify potential budget savings and areas of improvement at suggestionbox@uhcl.edu.  You are encouraged to submit ideas and comments in any or all of these categories:

  • Cost-saving ideas
  • Revenue-generating ideas
  • Better efficiency ideas
  • Things to do better or quit doing

The committee will collect these and make sure they are directed to the appropriate area of the university for consideration.  We will also keep them anonymous.  If you prefer not to use this process,  you may also send ideas and suggestions directly to the Planning and Budgeting Committee or to their constituent group leadership at the email listed below.
