Network Outage 3/25/2012

Dear Students, Faculty and Staff:

In order to apply a critical security update to our campus network’s firewall UCT will take all network services offline on 3/25/2012 at midnight.   The update is expected to take approximately one hour to apply.
All services are expected to be online and available for use after 1:00AM on 3/25/2012.
The following services will be impacted:
  • Blackboard
  • Email (webmail access, smartphone access, on campus via Outlook)
  • UHCL Web site
  • Internet access on campus
  • Wi-Fi on campus
  • VPN/Remote access (for faculty and staff)
  • User ID Look up, Syllabus, and Reset Password Tools
