Winter Break building closures

The following message regarding building closures/access during the winter break was sent out Dec. 18, 2012 by Derrell Means, director, grounds maintenance and custodial services.

Starting at 5:00 pm December 21, 2012 and continuing through 5:00 am January 2, 2013 the Facilities Department will be turning off the air and heat to all buildings on campus.

During this time period we will have a flooring contractor working in the Bayou Building on the first floor. Access to the Bayou Building will be limited to authorized personnel only. Those authorized to enter the building shall use the Student Entrance (east side of building) near the Patio Café Authorized personnel will use their “personal access” number to gain entry to the building. There will be two elevators available to access the 2nd and 3rd floor of the building. These elevators are located across from the Atrium 1 planter. The contractors will provide a designated pathway from inside the student entrance to the elevators. We ask that you stay within the pathway so not to interrupt any work.
