‘The Vagina Monologues’ at UHCL

UHCL will be presenting the 5th Annual Benefit Performance of Eve Ensler’s “The Vagina Monologues” this coming Saturday, March 16 at 8 p.m. The one-night only performance is a fundraiser for The Bay Area Turning Point and the international V-Day campaign to help end violence. There are 150 tickets left, and we ask you to consider attending and also helping us to spread the word. The box office opens at 6pm and tickets are $10 each. There will be a special reception in Bayou Atrium I beginning at 6pm and doors to the Bayou Theatre open at 7:15pm. The performance runs almost an hour and a half long. You will laugh, you might cry, and you will be moved. (Performance may not be suitable for children under the age of 16.)

This production is sponsored by several of our student organizations: People Against Violence Everywhere (PAVE), Women’s Studies Students Association, The Black Students Association, and Delta Xi Nu. The cast and crew are UHCL students, staff and community members. One hundred percent of the proceeds go to charity.

Information provided by V-DAY UHCL 2013 and Jennifer Clark.
