Bayou Theater plans weekend full of performances

The UHCL Bayou Theater has three shows planned for the weekend of April 7-9, including a performance by Black Violin, who has shared stages with Kanye West, Aerosmith, and Tom Petty.

The weekend begins Friday, April 7, with a performance of “Death and the Maiden” by the Mercury Ensemble. The String Quartet No. 14 in D minor, known as Death and the Maiden, by Franz Schubert, is one of the pillars of the chamber music repertoire and will be the heart of the concert.

The weekend continues with the UHCL Music Club Concert held Saturday, April 8.

Black Violin closes out the weekend performances at the UHCL Bayou Theater Sunday, April 9.
