UCT Blackboard Announcement

Microsoft has recently made available Internet Explorer (IE) 10 for Windows 7.   IE 10 is showing up as an optional download for home users of Windows 7 and is installed on many new computers running Windows 8.

IE 10 has not been certified by Blackboard for use with the version of the Blackboard Course Management System currently in use at UHCL.   The UHCL Blackboard admin team is not aware of any plans by Blackboard to certify IE 10 with the version of Blackboard currently installed at the campus.  In addition, IE 10 has not been tested with other applications running at UHCL.

We are advising customers not to upgrade to IE 10 on their personal computers if they plan to use the personal computer with a UHCL application.   If you upgrade your personal PC to IE 10 and you find that a specific application is not working correctly we advise you to use another browser instead; e.g. Firefox, Chrome, or Safari.
