OL Applications Now Available
The Office of Orientation & New Student Programs is now taking applications for the 2015 Orientation Leader staff! If you would like to forward the application to any of your students, the application is attached. You can also recommend students for the OL position through the attached recommendation form. Applications are due on February 20th and students can apply or learn more about the opportunity here: http://prtl.uhcl.edu/portal/page/portal/NSO/orientation/o_leaders
Orientation Leaders are a highly recognized group on campus and are eligible for the following benefits:
– All Orientation Leaders will now be eligible for ONSP Scholarships
– Attend an offsite leadership retreat
– Opportunity to enhance your human relation skills, knowledge, confidence and service to others
– Serve as a peer mentor to new students during the recruitment, transition, and retention process
– Resume building and opportunity to get a letter of recommendation from ONSP staff
– Service hours
– Meals during orientation and other related events
– SWAG: t-shirt, bag, giveaways etc.
– Leadership development opportunities
