Piper Award nominations

2016 Piper Nominations

Faculty and students are encouraged to nominate an outstanding professor by filling out this form: Piper_Teaching_Award_Nomination_Form.

All faculty members with full teaching assignments are eligible for the Piper Award, except those on the selection committee. To nominate a professor, fill out a nomination form and share that information with us.

Submissions

Send in your completed form by email or as a paper form as follows:

  • Email from your UHCL email account only to David Rachita at Rachita@uhcl.edu
  • Paper nominations forms require a signature and may be submitted via
    • Drop boxes located at the main entrance of all UHCL buildings
    • Dropped off at the Dean of Students Office, SSCB 1201
    • Mailed to UHCL Box #195

Background

The UHCL Piper Award Committee, composed of an equal number of students and faculty, selects one professor to be honored for excellence in teaching. This professor then represents the university in competition for the 2016 Minnie Stevens Piper Award, a prestigious and valuable teaching prize.
