Did I really just get engaged?

I have not done my homework this week  because I got engaged. Yes, that’s right I got engaged this past week. Maybe it wasn’t a real engagement, but it still happened. I remember the wonderful day as if it was yesterday. This is the story that we will tell our children of how we met.

I was craving chicken gnocchi soup from Olive Garden and, as always, when I want something, I go and get it. My friends and I arrived at Olive Garden not knowing what was in store. As usual we got our seats and this time we got pretty cool waiter. Everything started off normal: he asked us what we wanted to drink, if we were interested in ordering an appetizer, etc.

After a while, we started to joke around with him about cheese -he ended up bringing us plates full of it- and how much passion was in the passion lemonade. He made the usual funny jokes and we pretended to laugh. I liked the waiter thus far. Making that connection with your customers is always important to having a great meal. Things were going great so far but there was still much more in store.

I got up to go to the bathroom and when I came back the waiter and one of his co-workers were pretending to be knights and my friends Helen Nguyen and Nelly Tanori were the royal people. This may seem like it’s a weird dream, but it only gets weirder because the waiter was making a knight hat out of Olive Garden take-out materials. He literally made a paper bag hat. We were waiting for our food, and it took a bit longer than expected. Not long after this, the waiter jokingly popped the question. He didn’t even have to ask he just showed me the chocolate ring and I said yes! It was one of the weirdest days I have ever experienced. Next week, I will probably be planning the wedding. That’s if he ever replies to my texts. Once we left the restaurant, we kind of lost touch. Marriage, am I right!?

Andrew, our waiter, danced, served us, and made us laugh. He was hands down the best waiter ever. Homework can wait until next week. I am going to be to busy on my honeymoon!
