With the fall 2019 semester coming to a close, the Friday Morning Continuing Education program has released the upcoming winter 2020 presentations. The upcoming presentations range in topic from David Bowie to DACA to diversity in the STEM field.

“The range of topics is wide and vast, and serves as a great supplement to credit learning,” said Christine Paul, director of the foreign language program and continuing education programs.

While the presentations are open to any member of the University of Houston-Clear Lake (UHCL) community including students, faculty and staff, non-UHCL affiliated community members are welcome to sign up for presentations.

Paul said UHCL students can benefit from attending these presentations regardless of area of study.

“No matter what the major, any student can profit from learning more about history, current events, literature, science, etc.,” Paul said. “These programs could serve as ‘extra credit opportunities’ in some credit classes and will introduce students to different disciplines and professors without the commitment of declaring or changing majors.”

Initial registration for one’s first presentation attendance is $44, which includes a $26 membership fee and an $18 class fee. All additional presentations will be $18.
