Outfit #1: When I thought about the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo (HLSR), I immediately knew that I wanted to feature something leopard. Since Texas weather is unpredictable, I thought that pairing a sweater with shorts was a good idea. With the detailing of the sweater, I did not see that it was necessary to pair a necklace with this outfit. To get a more country feel, pair this outfit with some cowboy boots.
Outfit #2: If one were deciding to go to the HLSR carnival, this outfit would have been perfect. This baby doll top is lightweight, cute and flirty. I paired it with shorts, but if one wants to dress it up, pair the top with ripped jeans and some heels. This outfit would also pair great with some cowboy boots. Wear a long necklace and some earrings to complete this look.
Outfit #3: This royal blue top would be perfect for the HLSR. I paired this top with shorts. One can also pair this top with ripped jeans and white denim to dress it up. This top has ties at the shoulders, so it is fully adjustable. This color is perfect for HLSR. This is another outfit that one could pair with cowboy boots. To complete this look, I would wear royal blue or white earrings.
Outfit #4: Eyelet tops are perfect for HLSR. I wanted to pair this top with jeans. Cowboy boots would pair great with this outfit, as well. Since this top has holes in it, it would be smart to wear a nude bra or a nude tank top. If one does not like wearing jeans, I would pair this top with shorts. To complete this look, I would wear a necklace and earrings.
Outfit #5: This outfit screams HLSR. For one of my outfits, I had to break out the flannel. I decided to wear a criss-cross tank top underneath the flannel. The tank top I am wearing is a staple and that is why no jewelry needs to be worn. I paired the flannel with jeans and some short booties.
Outfit #6: Originally, I bought this dress for a trip I took to Las Vegas, Nevada. When I purchased the dress, I did not realize it would be so versatile. For the HLSR, I decided to pair this navy dress with a denim jacket to get that country feel. I also paired this outfit with booties to get that same look. Pair a long tassel necklace with this outfit to complete this look.
Outfit #7: This outfit would have been so cute for the HLSR. When looking for outfits for the HLSR, I would recommend a brown dress. Brown dresses are perfect for the rodeo. I paired this dress with a denim jacket and booties, while thinking this outfit would be perfect for rodeo season. In my opinion, with the details of the dress, one does not need any jewelry.
Outfit #8: This is one of my favorite outfits as it can be worn in many different ways. For the HLSR in mind, I decided to pair this seafoam green dress with a denim jacket and converse. If one wants a more country feel, pair this outfit with cowboy boots. This dress would be perfect year-round.
Outfit #9: For this outfit, I decided to pair this black dress with a denim jacket and snakeskin booties. I also chose to tie a knot in the front of the dress. I am 5’7, so the knot would not work, but would be perfect for someone who is shorter than I am. I think the snakeskin booties are great for the rodeo. This outfit can be worn for rodeo, date night, girl’s night out and much more.
Outfit #10: This dress is similar to the one in the previous photo. However, this dress is not oversized and flowy, which is nice and makes one’s body type slim. This is one of my go-to dresses. I would also pair this dress with some converse for a more casual look.
