RECAP: SGA meeting encourages involvement with Rec Center

The SGA meeting began at 11:35 and was led by Misty Woods

There was not a new fund request.

Woods reminded students of the town hall on Oct. 16 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.

Applications are still available for Vice President of Outreach and Communications as well as Vice President of Administration.

Kelsey Daviglus, graduate assistant at Campus Recreation and Wellness, announced the Halloween event which will be at Campus Recreation and Wellness Backyard Oct. 31 from 4 p.m. which will be the opening, 6:30 p.m. will be a kids movie and  8:30 p.m. will be an adult Halloween movie. Daviglus mentioned orgs can get involved and set up a booth and she mentioned the student org with most volunteers at the event  gets a free event from Campus Recreation and Wellness.  

Eris White, graduate assistant for recreational sports, encouraged students to the upcoming intramural sport events.

Daviglus also mentioned that they have joined Rec Movement which is a website that offers many group fitness opportunities online and is free with a UHCL email.

She also showed the group fitness schedule and mentioned that they are now in hybrid format.
