BRIEF: Counseling Services and Alumni Association collaborate on Critical Conversations Series: Consent & Sexual Violence

Counseling Services and Alumni Association are hosting a discussion about consent and sexual violence April 13 at 12 p.m. Some of the topics they will cover include consent and rape culture.

“[April] is Sexual Assault Awareness Month so that’s partly why we are presenting that topic,” said Shavonne Fuller, staff psychologist at Counseling Services. “And also it’s just good to discuss sexual violence and normalize speaking about it because it’s so prevalent in our community and society in general.”

This discussion is a part of the Critical Conversations Series that began with a conversation about racial trauma. Future conversation topics include body diversity and gender and sexuality.

Those interested in attending the Critical Conversations Series: Consent & Sexual Violence can register through Get Involved.
