COMMUNITY UPDATE: Race, Equity and Inclusion Workgroup update

Dear UHCL Student Body,

The Race, Equity, and Inclusion (REI) Workgroup is looking for new members to represent the perspectives of the UHCL student population. The University of Houston Clear-Lake established the REI Workgroup in response to student, faculty, and staff concerns regarding campus climate. Our goal is to create a more just and equitable campus community and to recognize and resolve issues of privilege and injustice through multiple lenses and experiences of the university’s stakeholders. This committee is comprised of students, staff, and faculty, each serving on various sub-committees to tackle this challenge from different avenues, and our work is conducted with oversight from Dr. Aaron J. Hart, Vice President of Student Affairs.
