MESSAGE FROM THE PRESIDENT: Dr. Steven J. Berberich stepping down as Sr. Vice President for Academic Affairs and Provost

Dear Students, Faculty, and Friends,

Dr. Steven J. Berberich will be stepping down as Sr. Vice President for Academic Affairs and Provost to take the next step in his already accomplished career. I am excited for Dr. Berberich and his wife Linda and wish them the very best for continued success.

Dr. Berberich has served UH-Clear Lake with distinction and has been a clear and committed voice for faculty and students. I appreciate his many contributions to our university and the greater community. His leadership will be visible for years to come as the Deans and other leaders he has recruited will continue to model Dr. Berberich’s servant leadership. His work on our strategic plan, Impact 2025 and Beyond, and the development of the Center for Engagement Teaching and Learning are also notable.

I will begin the process of putting transitional leadership in place right away and share plans as soon as it is practical to do so. In the meantime, please join me in thanking Dr. Berberich for his service and in wishing him well.
