COMMUNITY UPDATE: International Education Week – UHCL Goes Global: November 15-19

Greetings Hawks,

International Education Week (IEW) is here!

IEW is a joint initiative of the U.S. Department of State and the U.S. Department of Education to celebrate internationalization and cultural exchange worldwide in the month of November. The University of Houston-Clear Lake celebrates students, scholars and staff members from around the world and many other global initiatives across the university helping to make UHCL a globally diverse and culturally rich campus.

This year, the International Education Week Committee (IEWC) presents International Education Week – UHCL Goes Global Nov. 15-19. There are many fun things planned for the week, including:

  • Flags from around the world displayed in Atrium I and II of the Bayou Building
  • International menu by Chartwells all week at Patio Café (see attached menu)
  • 19 in-person and virtual global events

Detailed information about the events are available on the UHCL IEW Webpage.Register for events on UHCL Get Involved.  To learn more about the IEWC, visit the UHCL IEWC webpage.

We hope you take advantage of IEW events to connect and exchange ideas in our global community.
